Traffic route crossings

Drinking water pipes underneath roads pose several challenges: open-trench replacement is not feasible since road closures affect people’s daily lives for a long period of time until the works have been carried out.

In addition, there is significant cost for surface restoration. In case of railway crossings, permits from the railway operator need to be obtained in order to work within the railway corridor. These pipes are often laid with bends, even multiple sharp bends that change direction. Furthermore, the railway needs to be protected from leaking pipes that could potentially damage the track bed. For these applications, the Primus Line^® system can be used to plan small pipe access pits in suitable locations, even outside of a railway corridor or off a busy road. Since the liner can traverse multiple bends without any additional excavation,  quick installation and recommissioning is possible.
