DN 300 liners in a DN 900 host pipe

Situation

In 2020, a renowned Canadian oil producer had been investigating for a reliable temporary solution to bypass an old buried 36” pipe used for emptying an effluent/produced water basin on a frequent basis. The operator was looking for a solution to allow to keep operation going before finally replacing the existing steel pipeline.

During the project planning phase, the operator detected that a permanent rehabilitation solution for the old pipe would allow additional operating benefits and a costs decrease.
